![]() Overall in very good to excellent condition less some light play wear. There are some good phred threads around here that may make mention of the hardware upgrades. Up for sale is a lightly used Phred Dockstar in its original natural finish. I am a fan of Trey Anastasio's playing, but even a larger fan of his tone and the versatility that his Languedoc has (also the scale length since I'm a strat player). There is a small contingent of guys here with them, but also keep in mind its a pretty small brand, so it takes some work to find owners even here. I also was wondering (before I make a choice) about the differences between the Koa, Flame Maple, and Spalted Maple Dockstars (aside from cosmetics)? Also should I possibly upgrade any other parts in the Dockstar (bridge, tuners, etc.) to make sure I get the most out of the instrument?Īlso, I've looked into the PRS Hollowbody II (too expensive), the Gibson ES Les Pauls (also expensive), and other hollow body guitars (which are too large). The 24-fret neck, 25. However, I am a bit unsure if I should go for it, since I have heard mixed reviews about Phred instruments (though most state that they make great guitars). So I'm starting to really consider buying a Phred Dockstar along with the pickup and electronic wiring upgrades. 67 Likes, 1 Comments - PHRED Instruments (phredguitars) on Instagram: Middle Single coil mod on a DockStar. ![]()
